The history of Valfon began in 1959, when three brothers from the De Petri family, having learned their trade in Brianza, returned to Morbegno to become artisan glassmakers. Later, the current headquarters were built in the industrial area of Morbegno as a flat glass processing facility.

Building on this dynamic company structure, Valfon (Valtellina Fonetica) was actually founded in 1978, specialising in the production and sale of insulating glass. The inclusion of two second-generation figures in the company hierarchy and the purchase of the first double glazing factory allowed Valfon to make major progress in terms of quality. In today’s glass market, the company is still recognised for its innovative and high-quality products and UNI and CE certifications. Now driven by the third generation, Valfon has increased its research and testing activities in the name of constant technological innovation, as seen in its use of flexible warm edge spacers for the construction of insulating glass.
